Melissa, Editor

Melissa holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey. With a great eye for detail, Melissa has edited cookbooks, magazines, scientific articles, and short stories; she has also provided substantive editing for a first-time author, who later self-published his novel. Over the years, Melissa has also written for a local newspaper, developed copy for a newsletter for timeshare holders, developed and revised business and marketing materials, worked on educational grant writing and developed information for inclusion on a website for student success. In addition to over 20 years of copy editing and proofreading experience, Melissa has taught at both the high school and college level. Melissa currently teaches composition and reading courses and works with students at the college on essays in all subjects. Melissa’s passion is to help writers create succinct, engaging and grammatically correct writing across a variety of disciplines.
