In my research, I’m fascinated by the connection between the arts, philosophy, politics, sociology, ecology, science, and technology. I hold an interdisciplinary PhD from a top British university combining all these areas together. My goal both in my writing and editing is to express ideas in the clearest, most coherent, and most engaging manner possible. Having marked 100s of scripts for the university courses I teach, I’m well aware of what lecturers are looking for in a good essay, dissertation, or thesis. I regularly publish in top academic journals in both the UK and US; therefore, I’m able to assist with all the common styles (Harvard, Chicago, APA 6th, MLA, etc.), operate impeccably in both UK and US English, and edit to a professional standard. With four years’ experience as a TEFL teacher in Japan, I also appreciate the sorts of problems non-native speakers struggle with, and enjoy guiding them towards clearer expression. Before I moved into the arts and humanities, I gained a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (with a minor in Physics), so I’m comfortable with scientific, engineering, and mathematical work too. I’m looking forward to helping you make your essay, dissertation, thesis, journal article, or book the best it can be.
